2011 Indy Pace Car Edition

I just passed my local dealer and they have an Indy Pace Car out front. Man it looks cool.
The stripes are a darker orange but it looks really sweet.
Never checked the sticker, but the I saw the SS vert that was int he showroom driving down the street. Sticker on that was 57,000 plus.

Re: 2011 Indy Pace Car Edition

Well I finally got a chance to take a look at the sticker on the Pace Car. It was at 57115 Can. It was about the same as the other vert but it doesn't have the body kit.
The stripes are a darker orange when you get up close. Again the 3rd brakelight and onstar antena look stupid on the trunk lid.
I couldn't see what they charged for the Pace car edition. It must have been at least a couple of grand because the body kit is about 1700.

Hi Brian!

Did you like how the car was priced at 8K more than the same car in the US despite the fact that a)the car is made here and b) the C$ is worth more than the USD?

Coming out to Oshawa this weekend?

I think it is totally ridiculous that they would price the Camaro this high. I was amazed when I dropped into a Chev dealer last year in Maine. Without too much haggiling I was able to get the "ball park" number for a 2SS down to the 37 range. The taxes there are only 5% as well I think.
I won't be coming to the Nationals. I know I was spoiled that they were in St. Catharines for so many years. I went many years ago when they were held at the GM Plant and also at the Holiday Inn in Oshawa. I didn't like the set up at the Plant, it was just pavement and fences.
the Holiday Inn was a fiarly small show.
I am assuming that this will be a Gen 5 love fest put on by GM. With the prices this way I am not too excited about them any more.
I just think GM is gong to shoot themselves in the foot again. They were begging us to buy their cars two years ago. They have to realize that their taget market for these cars is not making big money any more.
