Question 2011 Inside Rearview Mirror Wiring

I need help here guys. I recently purchased a radar detector and mounted it to my rearview mirror in my 2011 SS Camaro. Since, the only plug in for the power cord on the radar detector is the Camaro's accessory outlet on the center console just in front of my shifter, I have to be careful when shifting not to grab the power cord. I purchased this short little "hot wire" power cord that you can attach to the power wire for the rearview mirror, thus eliminating the radar detector's factory power cord and the need to plug it into the Camaro's accessory outlet on the center console.

My question is, where does the rearview mirror get it's power? I don't see any wires running to the back of it.

Overhead Center Roof Console Removal

I was rethinking my question about where I could get power for my mirror mounted radar detector today. Then I noticed the overhead console where the courtesy light, the sun roof switch, and the 3 programable wireless remote buttons are. I thought, I could surely find a ignition controlled power source there. But how do I remove the console cover to view the wiring inside.

I decided to call my buddy, who is a Service Manager at a Chevy dealership. He kindly provided me with the attached 3 pages from the GM Service Manual. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks promissing.

Grasp & pull. Harbour Freight sells a plastic pry bar tool kit for about $5, BTW.
