Question About Fitting Into a 2012 2SS/RS

Hey guys, I have a question about fitting into a new 2012 SS. I'm a big guy. I'm about 6'3 and I weigh about 265. I was wondering if anyone around my size could give me an estimate as to about how much space you actually have in this car. Is it comfortable for you bigger guys and should i consider going with a convertible so that my head isn't always touching the roof?

Re: Question About Fitting Into a 2012 2SS/RS

Justin - I'm 5'11" and shorter smaller friends have told me they didn't fit in the 5th gen Camaro yet I found I fit in one with plenty of room and comfort... You need to go sit in one for yourself! What I found is most folks climb in and slid the seat forward and back then get out forming their opinion without using all the seats adjustments. The seats go fordward and back but also the seat cushion goes up and down as well you can drop the rear part and raise the front part of the cushion or just the opposite. Additionally the seat back is adjustible and the steering wheel tilts and telescopes making the sitting experience fit almost anyone.

I also know at least 3 guys your size that love their 5th gens and have never heard a peep about not fitting in the cars...

Re: Question About Fitting Into a 2012 2SS/RS

Im 6'2 and its prolly the most comfortable car Ive sat in. My leg is almost perfectly straight when I push the clutch in, and my heads not even close to the roof.

Re: Question About Fitting Into a 2012 2SS/RS

I'm 6'4" 260 and have no issues at all. I don't even put the seat all the way back.

If you are planning on a sunroof, you lose about 2-3" of headroom, so if you plan on tracking your car, I would forgo it but the car itself is fine. I find it more comfortable than a C6 corvette. =)

As with most newer cars you have to figure the technic for gettin in, most seem to be *** first then your head then legs

Re: Question About Fitting Into a 2012 2SS/RS

I got the 2SS and the salesman (6' 3" 250lbs) sat in the backseat to show my wife people could actually fit back there.

He did fit, a bit cramped but he fit.

I am 6'-5" 280 to 285 fit fine but its my wifes car.Only drove it one time about 3 miles other than that in and out of the garage but I do fit fine.I dont drive it every day so cant say if I like it but I do fit.I do know the vision over the hood is not the best for parking but she does great with it.
