Re: Cooling system
Could be a couple problems.
May need a charge, A simple install kit with can of R134A will tell you.
If system pressure is low, compressor will not kick in.
The Clutch relay may need replacing, they do get burnt contact points.
With new technology, the A/C compressor is controlled by the PCM, Power Control module, otherwise known as the engine management computer.
Also, the PCM may not be getting all of its input signals from its sensors.
If you select A/C off, and turn it back on, does the compressor come back on?
A problem could also be low coolant menaing hotter then normal engine temp and as a safe guard, PCM may not kick in the compressor until the coolant has cooled.
Debris inthe radiator? Are the fans coming on when A/C is selected? Fans are controlled by relays and they are controlled by the PCM.
