vertical Doors

Hey, I have a 2011 Camaro and want to have vertical doors installed. Has anyone had them done either buying them and then bringing somewhere or having a place do it from start to finish. I live in Suffolk NY but would travel if necessary. Thanks

Re: vertical Doors

He probably means Lambo style door hinges where the door goes up and forward.

Re: vertical Doors

The Rotary Drop Door - That would make a 2nd GEN Perfect. With both Doors open the 2nd GEN is Wider then it is Longer. My biggest complaint about the 2nd Gen - You're always looking for places to park because the Doors are so Freaking LONG.

Re: vertical Doors

I would definitely take it to a shop, there is also a problem that you have to replace hinges/struts because it puts a lot of stress on them.

here is a link of a place to buy them

Re: vertical Doors

make sure you buy a good kit. I have installed some in the past, and on camaro's the doors are always heavy, and the kits are so generic sometimes, that they can't support the load over time. Last thing you want after doing this modification is to have the door hit you in the head.
