2011 camaro exhaust rattle

Hi, wondering if there is a fix I could do to stop the rattle/tinging of these spring loaded valves or what ever they are called. They are part of the AFM (active fuel management), they engage when engine does not need all 8 cylinders and disengage when they are needed. Thing is when not engaged they rattle/tingle and very annoying, can hear it inside the car even with the top up. Can these be removed or something or will it cause major problems down the road? It seems they weren't tight enough and then rattle, I was thinking about putting something there to make it tight. Like a piece of high temp rubber?
Anybody have ideas? It's not a warranty issue or recall as its part of the L99 cars.

Here's a pic with the springs circled if somebody didn't know what I meant.

Never saw that before. I have a 2010 Ss Camaro Coupe. I would try the camaro5.com forums if no answer here.

Re: 2011 camaro exhaust rattle

We bought a '13 SS vert last October. After it was parked in the garage I had a chance to listen to the sound of the exhaust. I fell to the floor rushing to the computer and ordered a Magnaflow system. Believe me when I say the stock system sputtered like a kid blowing spit on the playground. AKA a Toyota. It's in the barn. I'll give a good price to those interested. Or just for the flappers.

Lol, I know it doesn't sound great but I did stop the tinging/rattle noise. I looped a thin wire throughout the springs and tightened it. I turned the springs by hand after to see if they still work without any binding and such, so far so good (but I don't drive it much, 3007km on a 2011). I don't plan to change anything on it as I want it to stay stock as its a collectible Indy Pace Car
