Truckload of Camaros

I was on my way home this morning from the doctor and I spied a truckload of Camaros in the parking lot of a local Hotel. I stopped and took a quick look. There were a lot of new options on the cars. There was a "honeycomb" Wheel that seems to come in 21s and 18s. They were not black like the ZL1s, and came in polished and painted. There was an SS with 21 inch wheels and a single rallye stripe down the middle of the deck lid. I could not see the hood.
Also there was a yellow convert with a strange looking stripe system. They were dual black stripes with no pin stripe edge, that went right over the hood and continued on to the lower valance.
Similar to the stripes on the Shelbys. They were narrower than the normal Rallye Strip.
It was not very appealing.
I was hoping to see a ZL1. The colors were mostly Black, White, one Burgundy and one yellow.
I do like the new wheels. They still have the older 5 spoke on the lower end model with 18 inch wheels.
Also there was an RS six cylinder with what looked like the ZL1 hood. Is that a new option as well?
I guess I have been out of touch with the latest options.

No pics of the wheels?

Re: Truckload of Camaros

No pictures. I did look at the build and price for the Camaro and they show a 6400 dollar option for 21 inch multi spoke painted chrome wheels. I bet that is what they were.
They look similar to the black ZL1 wheels but chrome and paint.
found them.

Re: Truckload of Camaros

Was the one with the single strip white? It could be a Spring Edition

Yes it was. Any idea what the yellow vert with black top and the ugly Shelby type stripe was.
The white one was the one with a lot of different options. It had a larger spoiler, the big 21 inch wheels and the hood and single stripe. None of them had the traditional window sticker I am used to seeing.

Re: Truckload of Camaros

No idea on the Yellow one. But I was with my friend when he took delivery of his Spring Edition. It is has ground effects, a different spoiler, different wheels (but you can get them on any SS) etc.

Almost sounds like all of these were aftermarket cars of some sort?

Re: Truckload of Camaros

I am pretty sure they were GM cars. They had all of the foam padding on the corners and
plastic covering the interior. I really didn't want to climb onto the carrier so I did a walk around. I will look up the spring edition. This was in St. Catharines, Ontario. I see guys stop here all the time enroute to the US. Oshawa is a couple of hours down the road.
I am pretty sure this car had a black stripe and didn't have the ground effects so I don't think it was the spring edition.

Re: Truckload of Camaros

Here are soe pictures of my friends car. He had the stripe painted a different color to match the roof (removed teh vinyl), added Chrome wheels (came with silver) and didn't have the front lower spoiler put on.
