Programming Keyless Remote

Is there a way I can program a keyless remote for my 2010 Camaro SS? I broke mine and ordered a new one from the dealer but they want $72 to program it!

Re: Programming Keyless Remote

found this. it worked on my 2011 cruze.
If you still have one remote that works you can program an additional one with the following steps...
1) stick old key into ignition and turn to "on" (it's the position before "start")
2) turn off and take out old key
3) quickly (like a few seconds) insert new key and turn to "on"

Takes less than 10 seconds and then there should be a new key programmed message in the DIC.

But if you don't have a working remote you are SOL and will have to pay the dealer.

Re: Programming Keyless Remote

My wife lost hers about a year ago. I got a quote from the dealer and found a lock shop that did it for less than half. The internet providers will provide you with instructions but only if you buy the keys from them. Try a lock shop.
