Door open window drop question

Hi, I have a new to me 2014 2LT convertible with 14k miles. The passenger side window drops about 1/2 inch when I will the door handle, as expected, to clear the convertible top. However the driver door window drops only maybe 1/8 inch if even that much, and as the door opens, it does tough the convertible top fabric. I have gone through the window indexing process by getting in the car, shutting the door, lowering the window all the way down and holding the window button down for 5 seconds, and the window up and holding for 5 seconds...makes no difference. My question is: how much do your driver windows drop when pulling the handle? What is normal?

Re: Door open window drop question

I found this online, you might want to verify your indexing or resetting steps to make sure they are done properly. As well your car is still in warrantee and the dealership should be willing resolve this kind of issue.

Great info. I did exactly as the instructions said on that link and the dic did indicate/instruct me to open and close the window...the window now does drop further as it should, when I open the door. It seems that unless the settings in the window controller are not lost/reset, then it won't really re-index.

Thanks so much for the help!
