Power Steering hookup advice for LS1....

OK....so you guys who transplanted LS1's into your 1st Gen F-bodies, how did you hook up your powersteering pump to the power steering box? I've heard this can be a bit tricky.

I need a list of parts (with part numbers) and a brief instruction, if you would be so kind.

Thank you gentlemen.

1968 Pro-Touring Camaro.

Now would be a good time to upgrade to an Iroc steering box. Use the -6 adaptor fittings and make your own AN lines.

Same question and I don't need to "upgrade"... already have an AGR quick ratio box.

You'll have to search around a little using my username. I'm on my phone so don't have search feature.
You just have to find out the pitch of your steering box (lee manufacturing will know) and then decide whether you want a 6 AN line or stock type?

Re: Power Steering hookup advice for LS1....

I just connected mine yesterday.
I used http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FBM2965 on the steering box
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FBM2608 on the pump
with http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FBM1122 elbows on both sides and http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FCC0606 hose.

I did not have any interference problems with the pump pulley. I used the accessory kit from GM, so it is the pump of Corvette LS3 I think

If you have a good hose/line shop near you, just have one made. I use the stock Fbody LS1 pressure line & have a hose made using exisitng fittings from your steering box. Just take some measurements for each line. Cost me less than $50 for both lines.
