Question Oil pan fit in '66 Nova

Will a front sump oil pan fit a factory frame in a '66 Nova?
Selling a '05\'06 GTO pan and someone putting an LQ9 in a '66 Nova says it's the only pan that will fit the factory frame.

Thanks

Re: Oil pan fit in '66 Nova

The factory V-8 nova had a front and rear sump. Many companies sell a rear sump that looks like a letter "J" laying on its back. Many are on ebay, but you need the pump pick up to match the new pan. The pans run from around $75.00 and up. Stick with a five quart the seven quart is pretty low. The cut out is for the center link to pass.

Alright... I wasn't aware of how the Nova subs were laid out. Learn something new everyday.
Thanks Keith

I guess as long as the front-sump LS2 pickup will fit an LQ9 block, I'll sell it to him.
