Ls swap - exhaust system/cats

I am gradually accumulating parts for the swap. I was curious if the swap requires the dual cats?

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Ls swap - exhaust system/cats

Ugh, I didn't put Cats on mine and initially my exhaust was very smelly. Been told the ECM will correct the problem once I drive it enough and/or with a pro tune. Of course emissions tests are not required in my area either.

Thanks Charlie...

I did not think it needed the Cats and no emission laws for me either.

No cats needed. Once it tuned everything will be fine.

Although Pro tuning an LS motor is not cheap either!
