Yes, I'm running a Moser 9" floater and have been very pleased. Not a single problem with about 10,000 street miles on it now. Pro-Touring by definition means going around corners and a conventional rear end tends to allow the axle to walk laterally in the hounsing which causes the rear disk brake pads to be pushed back into the calipers a condition known as pad knock back. A floater eliminates all that knock back. We have several threads on floating hub rear ends at pro-touring.com Just do a forum search on floaters or floating hub. Floating hub rears are becoming pretty standard equipment within the Pro-Touring segment.
I'm running a moser 12 bolt w big ford torino ends. Its not a floater, but I'm running C5 brakes w floating caliper. I run a lot of autocross, and no problems with knock back over 20K miles. I have never run on an open track, so I cant say if knock back would come into play in that situation. Seems like lot of guys are moving towards the floater though.
