1973 camaro seat belt warning

Does anyone know how to get the seat belt warning light and buzzer to properly function on a 1973 Camaro?

Re: 1973 camaro seat belt warning

Yes, paint code 74...According to the repair manual, it states there is a seat sensor on the passenger side only, mine however only has it on the driver's side which if the manual is correct, one of the previous owners had the seats out and switched the seats. I do have a black and yellow wire running from the sill plate under the carpet towards the seat. My key buzzer works, and there is a bulb in the dash which looks ok. Thanks for your help...

Re: 1973 camaro seat belt warning

I also pulled out the passenger seat and discovered a wire that should connect to the seat sensor and a black and white wire that goes to the seat retractor. However, I recently purchased a set of sensors and the wire connector on the black and yellow wire under the seat does not seem to be able to connect to the seat sensor connector...
