1972 SS Camaro Correct Bellhousing??? Help!!

Hi, I have a 1972 Super Sport Camaro that is a factory 4 speed. Currently, it has a Muncie tranny and a 621 bellhousing that someone installed years ago. I am getting ready to put the original matching numbers saginaw 4 speed back in the car, and was wondering what bellhousing a 1972 SS 350 Camaro would have come with. Could it have come with a 621? Thank you for any help!!!!!

FWIW My son had a 72 Chevelle 350 4 speed and it had a 621 bell in it. I think that larger clutches were in for alot of these cars
Oh and welcome to Team Camaro!

Yes the 621 is a good Bell Housing. Just make sure you use a Pivot Bolt of the right length for the Fork you intend to use.

Considering the Manual Trans Muncie or Borge Wargner and length of rods.

Either one can take an 11" clutch Disc with 621 Bell Housing.

Personally I like the the LeyLand Top Loader mounted onto the 621 with an 11" clutch behind a Hi-Revving 327 with a Manual Clutch.
