2nd Gen Toy

I figured a few of you would appreciate a couple pics of one of the other family toys.
The engine started out as a new '92 crate LS6 454. It's anything but stock now. Yes, the air cleaner is too small and doesn't stay on there...
Turbo Action trans w/ Cheetah SCS shifter & 9" rear. It's not tubbed. If the body weren't so perfect, it would be.

Very nice ride. How did the body keep so immaculate? That's remarkable!

Re: 2nd Gen Toy

Thanks. It's been sitting in a garage with very limited street time since we brought it home in 93. I was home on leave and my father and I just happened to be sitting catching our breath after walking around a swap meet. They were having an auction off to the side with crap cans from a bank and a few others. Things like Chrysler K cars etc. Then they announced a 79 V8 Chevy. That's all they said. You could hear it start up back stage. My Dad and I just looked at each other and grinned. Yep, V8 Chevy lol. Turned out it was a divorce issue for the guy selling. Felt bad, but not bad enough to not buy it! None of the blue hairs in the audience gave it a second look. Just good timing for us. Paid for it what the original owner had paid just for the 9" rear end. He gave us all the receipts for what was done to it. 22 years later we're still shaking our heads.
