1973 Z28 Survivor

I’ve been looking for a numbers matching, well-documented, clean ‘70-‘73 for a few years now. Started talking to the owner in 2013 and finally sealed the deal and now have a great example of a no excuses Z28 survivor. This car has a clean history all the paperwork and is in great condition with original paint, exhaust, shocks, spare. The previous owner always used AC Delco replacement parts as needed.

He also kept the original paperwork including window sticker and build sheet. The 4 speed Z28 has only 36,400 original miles and was special ordered in black with stripe delete. Black was not offered on the ’73 Camaro. Botnick Chevy in Binghamton NY is still in business.

The car was undercoated and rustproofed new with ECP and it undoubtedly helped save the car. The car has spent its entire life in upstate NY, fortunately garaged during the winters and unbelievably rust free. The original black lacquer paint is starting to show its age, has a few dings but I plan on keeping it as is.

Nice catch!! BTW, there should be no Z28 decal on the dash from the factory. Please remove, it looks silly.

LOL that was the second thing I removed after I got it home. Fortunately it peeled off with no damage

That's going to be a fun car to drive plus it doesn't need premium fuel.

Re: 1973 Z28 Survivor

Thanks. I added some 90 Octane ethanol free gas locally and it runs great.

Yeah, I never use corn fuel, I use Shell 91 prem with 0% Ethanol in everything especially lawn mowers,
weed eaters, snow blowers etc.

Re: 1973 Z28 Survivor

My Dad had a Black 1973 Z28 with white stripes. Bought it new and sold it in 1975. I still want to have one some day. Great Looking Car!

Black with white stripes would look awesome. I am guessing there was more than a few special order black Z28's in 1973.
