Blue Plug comming from u14 dash WHeres it go?

I am having problems with getting my guages to work On the u14 Stock 1981 camaro dash It had a blue Connector comming out witch looked like the main power source but my turn signals and and lights all work Just no

Speedo
Tach
oil guadge
Temp gadge

The volt meter was the only thing I could get running and it was a Single brown wire running out of the firewall by the washer moter.

I was thinking that was for the tach so i hooked it to the Distributor where it has the TAC / Battery Single Connections.

This car had a engine bay fire (Small) and the previous owner said he just Ripped apart the cords that did catch / fryed and didnt do anything els.

I cut the BLue Connector off and Tryed wireing the Red to Power in the fuse box Grouded the Black one and i was thinking the green went to the tac???

Unsure but im tackling it this week and would love to get sum insight on what people might think... I cant seem to match anything to any wireing diagrams so i think this is one of thows WIRE IT up (who gives a ****) type cases. (The guy who originaly wired it) now im stuck with a Cluister Fukkkk of a wireing disaster...

Justin, this is primarily a 1st Gen website, so I moved your question to the 2nd Gen section, as those folks might be more familiar with your issues. Us 1st gen folks have never seen all those different wires under our hoods.

The transe speed sensor Connected to the ECM correct? The computer was ripped out of the car maybe that's why it was not hooked up

Re: Blue Plug comming from u14 dash WHeres it go?

Well I figured Out the Issue with the Speedo it was the Gear on the Drive Train .
I looked at the gearing on the Speedo gear and the Speedo wire up to the dash it all turned clean on both ends and when it was spun it from the bottom end It moved the Cluster so I kinda figured it was nothing to do with the cluster it self After Takeing the 4 bolt of the drive train cap i was able to see the gear was total off place of had sum nice dings in it.

So I poped the u joint Droped the shaft and pulled it out Put a new one on 12.95 from lordco Lined it up with the Bullets hole And tighted it all back up. I also Suped Glued All the copper tabs on back to the circuit board . they where all floppy and the way you have to put the dash in you cant get a clear view if all the tabs went in cleanly or not.

Unfortuitly My sending unit on my gas tank is shot and the Tach is No functioning

I got the speedo working Atittle Late Already a used cluster of ebay half way here from across the world will get it this weekend :P
