Should i buy this car?

Found a 71 camaro Im thinking of buying. Original rs. Low hp 350 numbers matching. Auto on floor with console. New quarters, exhaust, seat covers, carpet. The floor has no rust. Only rust is on one inner fender. Runs and drives good. Has ps pb and a/c. It was repainted the orginal color which is copper looks brown. Paint and body work is decent no show car. He wants $9000. I think the color hurts the value alot. What do you think?

Re: Should i buy this car?

If I bought a 'brown' car I would repainting it in one of these newer copper colors. Your price doesn't sound to awful to me without seeing. Your description would be enough for me to go look at the car if I was shopping for a '71 on a $10k budget.

Re: Should i buy this car?

i would definately have to repaint it. i just hate to pass it up because i never see a real numbers match rs that is complete, no rust, runs and drives good for 9000. if it was any other color though :c

Re: Should i buy this car?

What do you want to do with the car. Buy and keep it, sell it, restore it, keep it long time? short time? Is it a loan to buy the car? Will you miss the cash in your bank? 9k seems reasonable for a nice toy.

Re: Should i buy this car?

I think you are better off hunting for a 70 RS. I think you need to get the car for around 7k to have room for your flip.

Huh? The 70 350 Z28 was rated at 360hp, the highest on paper.

Mecum Dallas this weekend ran a '70 Z/28 RS and it no-saled at $40k. 360hp is more than my 69 L48.
