how to determine matching numbers?

hey guys i wasn't able to find this by googling so perhaps someone here has a reference. i have a 71 camaro that i am selling and am trying to determine if the numbers are matching. does anyone know where i would look to determine this?

The original vehicle partial vins will be stamped on the engine block, and transmission. These will match the body partials stamped in the heater blower area and under the cowl vent.

The cowl vent is usually readable without dismantling the cowl. You have to remove the inner and outer passenger side fender and the blower housing to get a look at that hidden partial vin.
