2nd gen 10 bolt 8.5 inch

Hi All,
Where can I find a pictorial location guide to axle and differential codes? I have a (what I think is a 1974 rear end) with the following codes on the center housing: E318, GM24 and 1254338.
The code on the axle tube is: 2 PT G81531.
Are there any other codes I should be able to find. If I knew the locations it sure would help. There are ton's of help for the 1967-1969 camaros but I have been having a lot of trouble finding the 2nd gen info.
Your help will be greatly appreciated,
Ken

Re: 2nd gen 10 bolt 8.5 inch

You can find information on deciphering what you have by the casting number Here

Chevy Camaro Rear Axle Information & Restoration

or Here

1967 Chevelle Rear Axle Codes

According to my Chevrolet by the Numbers 1965-69 and my 1970-'75 edition it decodes as:
PT ====> 1975 Camaro 2.56
PT ====>1967 Camaro 3.73 with metalic brakes
G =====> Detriot Gear & Axle
Both left the factory as an open rear end.

Ken, if you have numbers questions for a 2nd gen nastyz28.com is a great source. Tons of lists and references for the 2nd gens there. I've found more than I can use for my 70!
