Red face 1971 RS/SS Camaro

So, my father has recently passed away, leaving me his beautiful 1971 RS/SS Camaro. It was his baby, purchased in 1982 and restored (it definitely needed some attention). Following financial hardships of my father, it needed some love and attention that he couldn't give it from 2010-2017 and it sat in his polebarn. After his passing, I inherited his pride and joy- I took her to a mechanic and ended up fixing her up- new motor, new clutch, new alternator- basically, everything under the hood is brand new (and it looks AMAZING)

I guess I am wondering where I can learn more about this car- Google does not really seem to be helping much. I know he was so proud because it was a "true split bumper" and an "RS/SS", but I want to know more about the history of this specific model. Does anyone know or have any information on this? It would definitely be appreciated!

Re: 1971 RS/SS Camaro

Sorry to hear about your dad (and welcome to the site). Like John mentioned, you'll probably have more luck over NastyZ. Plenty of knowledgeable guys here, but we are predominately a first gen site. They will probably be more help than us. Definitely a beautiful car, so keep us posted if you venture over to NastyZ. And good luck!
