Need insurance for a daily driver 75 Camaro

Does anyone offer insurance for a 1975 Camaro daily driver? All my research just shows classic car insurance with limits on where you can drive and how many miles...I just want to drive it to work a few times a week <5mi...

Re: Need insurance for a daily driver 75 Camaro

I would suggest doing a free online quote through Hagerty. Just answer the questions of how much coverage you want and the type of driving you will be doing.ie back and forth to work etc...

You should just go with whomever you insure your other daily drivers with imho...

Hagerty does not have mileage limits. I drive my car whenever and wherever I want.

I have Grundy. Agreed Value. No Miles restriction. You do have to garage it and have another car for a daily driver.

Re: Need insurance for a daily driver 75 Camaro

Guessing as a DD you'll be limited to just Liability ?
That would leave you up a creek IF something was to happen and it was your fault, the other guy's fault but no insurance, vandalism, and such.

I do not think anyone will put an "Agreed Value" policy on a DD classic/historic car.....but you never know, and sounds pricey

Grundy has all that you need, agreed value and unlimited milege and in many cased cheaper than Hagerty.

Why would a daily driver be limited to liability? I have full coverage on all my vehicles and some, including classics, get driven every day. $310 bucks a year for a 67 at $35K value through Hagerty. I had a claim with a supplement with Hagerty and it was a piece of cake dealing with the adjuster who came to my house. A friend also had a claim with them and it was the same adjuster. He has over 25 classics insured with them. Hagerty also has cherished value. If the car gets totaled, they cut you a check for the value and you get to keep the car. This happened to my friend for a fire confined to the dash on a survivor/driver 62 M code Thunderbird. No body or engine damage.

I recently repaired a truck insured by American Collectors and it was a royal pain. They do not send out adjusters. Customer initially sent them numerous damage pics and their estimate was $1800. Total repair came in over $8K after three supplements, countless pics, and docs provided for which the shop is not reimbursed. It took nearly a month to get the final payment.

As a daily driver (only car) ? "full coverage" (book value) ?

In Maryland, that would require state inspection and regular tags. Historic/Classic/Street Rod tags are limited to weekends, Holidays, to-from shows during the week, or to-from repair shop during the week "legally".

So this is what I'm going by really. (not the full or Agreed coverage Ins. part)

But even with my truck being paid off, my DD still has "full coverage" (only like $25-? more a month)

Re: Need insurance for a daily driver 75 Camaro

I have Grundy and it is not as stated above. No mileage limits but you are only allowed to use the vehicle for pleasure driving not daily or taking it to work. I guess the persons above did not read their policy.

Re: Need insurance for a daily driver 75 Camaro

I just switched over to a Haggerty plan and no longer have the mileage restrictions. My odometer hasn't worked for some time
