(Part 2) Installing Manual M/C with Factory 4-Wheel Discs

OK, I've given up on installing a manual M/C on this car, (4-wheel discs). What I would like to try now is to replace the plastic reservoir unit with a one-piece cast iron one and keep the dual diaphragm booster. Again, this is strictly for looks. I figured that since 79-81's were available with 4-wheel discs then a cast iron 79 or 80 M/C would work.

The 81 has a dual sized bore M/C, about 1 1/2" that the pushrod inserts into with just an O-ring and a 1 1/8" with cups for the front pistons. The cast iron units look like they have a typical single size bore.

I don't see why the M/C's would be different. I have noticed that there are dual and single diaphragm boosters being used on these years. Not sure if that would make a difference. Maybe pedal ratios are different? I noticed that the rear 1 1/8" piston is for the front brakes and vise-versa.

I don't have the time or money to be experimenting with different setups to which combination would work. I was hoping somebody has done this before.
