Rear brake drum code decipher

Hi I am after parking brake levers and brake cables for a Camaro rear axle as mine are missing. Can anyone advise as to what year these brakes were manufactured?

Brake drum says Max diameter 9.59, 54 T, 1249146, K17 78 (Does this mean made July 17th 1978?)

The rear axle is stamped TAC 7324 3

Thanks, Wales in the UK!

Re: Rear brake drum code decipher

K17 78 would likely be November 17 1978, but TAC doesn't show up as a 78 or 79 axle code. NastyZ28 dot com 1979 Camaro data - Statistics, facts, decoding, figures & reference information has the most information on those models. Info is there, but it's sometimes hard to navigate. You should be able to find your way around with a little trial and error.
