Take a look at Calvert Racing.com. Caltracs traction bars and split mono rear springs.

Solid rod-end style lower control arms helped my 60' out .20. They ride like crap though, and are really loud at times, like when changing lanes and hitting the dots in the road. Tires are really where it's at, but the stock rearend is only good for about 1.8 60' before you start exploding them, especially with a 6 speed.

Re: how to improve 60 ft times, problems with traction

we run aluminum rod ends in the nova...they are stiff to say the least!!!you put the car on the lift, and the rear is still settling when the car gets to the top...lmao...but the nova will pull the front tires up in 2nd and 3rd...so the setup definately works...and we run the drag radials...single biggest traction improvement we have made in the last few yrs...

You don't make yours anything. You throw your current LCAs away and purchase new solid LCAs like the ones pictured below:

it's a 4th gen it has rear coils

LCA's are a great upgrade, but why would you go with spherical ends and then complain about noise . . . that'd be like buying 4cyl ranger and then complaining that it won't do 0-60 in under 5sec

BMR, Spohn and many others make LCA's with poly bushings that are less flexible that the stockers and ride nice w/o the noise
I'm a huge proponent of LCA relocation brackets (I used to make and sell my own design) these move the rear mounting point of the LCA towards the ground and help to plant the tires

as far as the rearend strength . . . it's not a function on sixty foot times (I've done 1.6s on engine and 1.5s on the bottle) it's about power and w/ an M6 don't expect one to live after a 5k clutch dump

drag radials are something you can't ignore . . . Nitto if you drive it a lot (1.6s and they'll handle rain within reason) . . . BFG or M/T if you don't drive in rain

if money isn't a big issue look into QA1 shocks/springs (luv em) or afco (big $)
also stick air bags in your rear coils (cheap and easy)
