Engine code test? + smoke?

Sister has a 95 camaro 3.4 auto...I know most of the time u use a jumper wire on A+B i think i had the right ones but the light did not flash-so how is this done and where can i find a code list? I was told it was overheated real bad for 40 miles and wouldn't start when it got her home....4 months later i'm able to get to it-the car runs now-The thing is smoking real bad but the engine runs great, i don't know what the hell she did to it...the rad had like what looked like sh*t in there no joke-so i flushed it--don't beleave it was oil-oil had no anti-freeze in there and is to the proper level-also looks like the anti-freeze level has not gone down none and is running at the right temp also Smoke was white upon start up but then cleared up once it hit open loop and then smoke came back after 10 mins of running along with check engine light? Thanx Guys..

Re: Engine code test? + smoke?

If it's white smoke... you're getting coolant in your exhaust. Blown head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way to pull codes from a '95 without the use of a scanner.
