Opinions on rocker arms..

Im looking to buy a set of 1.6 ratio roller tip rockers. They are stud mount comp cams magnum steel roller tips. Are these any good or is there better out there?..I have $250-$300 to play with. Thanx

Re: Opinions on rocker arms..

They are pretty good. Only need to spend money on 8 though for the intakes. Putting them on the exhaust side of your particular motor woulod be a waste of money...JMHO of course.

Re: Opinions on rocker arms..

I dynoed a firebird 02 with the slp rocker arm 1.8 and springs and comp pushrods.
It made 15hp at the wheels!!

In my opinion it is worth it!!!!!!

1.8 rockers would require a spring change. 1.6's would not. Making it unfeasible to replace the stock 1.46's on the exhaust side.
FWIW, all 1.6's that were installed then swapped with 1.72's and 1.8 (LS design) always made 15-17hp at the wheels until we changed out the cam...

Re: Opinions on rocker arms..

To be realistic the money spend changing a cam is not worth it.
Your are better off with the rocker arm change and springs.
