Drivers Side Carpet Getting Wet

1998 Camaro: Here is the issue in a nutshell. When I run the heater I do not have an issue, but it appears that when I run the Defroster the floor gets wet on the drivers side. The system produces good heat and the blower works fine, however the condensation from the unit appears (at least partially) to not drain overboard. It may be getting wet on the passenger side also but not visibly looking at the carpet. The drivers side is very apparent when the floormat is removed. I get 2 distinct wet areas, 1 in the depression near the pedals and 1 near the seat close to the hump for the transmission/console area. I have removed the lower panels underneath the dash and attempted to find the leak/blockage to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Drivers Side Carpet Getting Wet

the drain for the a/c or heater box is outside under car. when defroster is on a/c compressor cycles. makes the moisture. the drain is usually on passenger side of car right below inner fender in between the exhaust and fender. most likely a black plastic tube. may see it from top of car. most can be seen real good under car.
