SS brake light cracking

I have an 02 SS which looks like the factory over tightend the screws on the third brake light causing it to split around all three screws. Anyone else seen this ? A new one lists for $247.00. I got one for $168.00 which is high for what it is.

Re: SS brake light cracking

My 98 did this finally in all three screw holes. I just took a thin strip of Aluminum, drilled three holes, painted red and used the Aluminum strap to hold the light to the spoiler using the three exisitng screws.

I couln't part with that much money for a silly light.
