Location of partial VIN #

i have a 97 camaro RS that is a theft recovery vehicle with missing VIN #'s and wondering where to locate the partial VIN for verification any help is appreciated...

You might try a 4th generation site. Most of the stuff on this forum deals with first gens. Do you know anyone in law enforcement? They might be able to tell you.
