DRL sensor, where?

Hello, where is the DRL sensor on the 2002 camaro's? when I turn the engine on, my headlights come on, automatically, full brightness, now here in Arizona most everyone has those custom made dash covers, due to the high heat, mine has one, first thought was, this cover is blocking it, so I was planning to cut a circle in the pad, I removed the pad and found no little black dome anywhere on my dashboard, I also own a 02 TrailBlazer, it has one, right dead center, just under the windshield, so, where's mine? sorry for the newbie questions, but I am a newbie.lol. first camaro.
