GM Cowl Hood

HI Guys
I have a real nice GM cowl hood I've had for 20 years and now a guy wants me to sell it to him but I don't know what to ask for it. There is no rust on it, any ideas what it's worth? just a ball park answer would be ok...Thanks

If it has no rust, and little to no filler, a assembly line cowl hood will easily bring $600-$800 around here.

Thanks Keith I have to had it for so long and haven't been selling any parts lately so I'm out of the loop right now. He called me today wanted it and some other parts I have. I would like to get as much as I can for it. Thanks again...

Re: GM Cowl Hood

Has it been painted or is it in factory primer ? I was thinking about 1K if not painted. HBC wants 1500 for an NOS.

If HBC wants 1500 for a used GM hood, I would think 750.00 is roughly the going rate for the average guy. HBC has outrageous prices on GM parts.

Re: GM Cowl Hood

$6-$700 if local buyer. Shipping cost will be expensive so if not local buyer will be looking at total cost shipped

1500 for NOS, not used is the way I take it. I agree with the outrageous pricing. 1K would be 67%. To the right person in need, I don't think they'd hesitate.

I don't know if Butch's hood is used or is it an NOS piece, never installed ?? That's why I asked if it had been painted.

Re: GM Cowl Hood

Thanks for all the replies. My hood has been painted but I have stripped it and put primer on it now. He is going to buy some other parts so I told him he could have it for 500. He's supposed to pick it up this Friday he's local so I don't have to worry about shipping. Thanks again for the help... Butch

Re: GM Cowl Hood

I agree. Good of you for offering a good deal. So many times, others think their parts are in need of Special pricing. E - Specially high that is...
