Test fleet 1968 L30 TH350

Just bought a Camaro 1968 and it came with some original docs including the protect-o tag booklet. Doing some research online I realized what I have is a test fleet car, the code ends with letters EN. Car looks, sounds and runs great, all matching numbers. Was wondering if being a part of rare test fleet adds any value in general? Does anyone know how many of those were made? I can’t find any info on those aside from the fact that they existed. Does anyone know anything about those cars?

All I know is what little was mentioned at CRG...Camaro - Transmission

I suggest contacting Kurt S as he probably knows as much as anyone else. I'm sure he'd like to hear from you.

I'd say it adds some value being an upgrade over the Powerglide and it certainly is rare. Sorry I can't be more specific on value or numbers.

Re: Test fleet 1968 L30 TH350

Have you checked the transmision date codes ?1967-69 Camaro Drivetrain Decoding Unfortunately it was stamped on the pan so it may be gone (replaced pan).

Sorry to say, but I highly doubt there are any production number records. I've been a member here @ TC for around 11yrs, follow along pretty closely and yours is the first 68 with factory TH350 I've heard of. Again, I recommend contacting Kurt at CRG as he has access to probably the most extensive data base of First Gen Camaros. He would have the best understanding of a GM test/evaluation fleet and how many cars it may have consisted of.

Personally, I'd be interested in any photos you can provide of your car. If you'd like to post them and need help, I'd be happy to assist !

Cool, thanks ! I've been watching his thread over at CRG. Seemed to be dead over there as well, but now I see you've responded. Kinda interesting. Hopefully he posts some pics. Here's what the card said that came with the car for the TC viewers...
