Re: All orig RS/SS low mileage PHX car....

There was a discussion at one time on CRG on the white paint cowl tags. I don't recall
the specifics. What I highly question is the claim of original paint. The firewall to upper
body sure looks like a sharp tape line. That's not correct. So yes, too good to be true.

Yep, You and a 100 others "IF" legit. I'm thinking this is full of BS and the seller knows it hence
the price.

Re: All orig RS/SS low mileage PHX car....

I don't see a white cowl tag. I see a Tag that has been cleaned. The tape line is probably do to a repaint/clean up of the firewall. You can see what looks like a little over spray on the Tag.

IMHO the price is about right. I would not pay $10k more if Legit. Not as $45,000 car at all.

If it's a car interested in would be worth a phone call and maybe ask a TC member in Phoenix the have a look.

My vert still has white on and around the tag. I think this was Norwood only. Echos of Norwood member here would know, Phil has written a book I believe by that title.

That tag is white. The putty in the rivets is white. They masked it off when they screwed up repainting the firewall blackout. White tag info and photo: Trim Tag Q

Re: All orig RS/SS low mileage PHX car....

My Norwood car had a white tag, itís legit, but a repaint IMHO... Worth every penny if itís an AZ car.
If I was looking Iíd fly out there to check it out.

Wish I was reading this a week ago instead of today. I would have looked it over when I was in Phoenix for a wedding. I want to see what a Z/28 traction sway bar is.

Original white tag info is on CRG. Look at the tag and putty.

Re: All orig RS/SS low mileage PHX car....

Rumor has it "Magoo" was on the assembly line at the old and poorly lit Norwood plant in 66/67 and carried a white spray bomb in his pocket !

Some early 68's from Norwood got the white tag treatment as well.

Nice car, but probably not entirely as advertised. Can't blame them for tinting the windows being from AZ. Without seeing it in person, I'd say it's appropriately priced as is.
