68 Chevelle Block 3916323

Standard bore Block that I have had for some years and someone is wanting to buy it. T1207ED 68 build date. Came out of a 68 chevelle L35 with Manual Trans. Partial VIN 18A126338.Two bolt main. He does not care what it came out of, he just wants to build it. What's it worth?

He may not care but you should. That is desirable engine! Are you selling just the block? Are there other parts, heads, intake, accessories, transmission? Just the block itself I would say $500 - $1000. Complete motor $1,500-$2500 or more.

I sold a L35 out of a 68 Chevelle 3 years ago that was complete from oil pan to intake including water pump and distributor for $900.00.All factory correct assembled parts. Standard bore. Engine was T0524ED 18B208533.

Just the block, no other parts. $500 to $1000 is a big swing price wise. I was thinking I would sell it for $100. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should double the price and still give him the deal of a lifetime!

It would have more value to an owner of a 68 Chevelle.

What it may be worth and what you can get for it now are 2 different things.

Supply and demand. How many Chevelle guys are looking for a 68 Chevelle 2 bolt main used bare block?

IMHO if you have a guy that wants it now get what you can and donít look back.

Re: 68 Chevelle Block 3916323

It might be because I'm in Colorado and everything is more expensive here for some stupid reason, but the cheapest sbc (bare block) I can find is $300.
I recently put a 69 sbc (bare block) for sale and someone paid $400 plus shipping. But if you have a buyer with cash in hand and the engine block is taking up space, take the money!
