New from MI.

Hi
I have been watching this website for many yrs and am very impressed with the knowledge of camaro's.I have own a few since 68 which was my first 68Z/28.The people seem to be very friendly and helpful.I enjoy 1st gen camaro's and have had a few since my teen yrs.I own a 69 CAMARO SS 396-375 which is under a frame off restoration which is taking a long time to complete(almost 1 yr).I have a question on using r/s fenders with a standard grille.I need to know which brackets get cut off so I can install the grille.I know the fenders are interchangeable. Thanks for your help.Dan.

Re: New from MI.

Welcome Dan. I believe it's the 2 little tangs on the front of the fender where the standard grill will sit.

Re: New from MI.

Hi Dan, The r/s fenders have tangs that are 1 1/2 inchs farther back than a standard grill. You will need to cut them and weld smaller tangs in. The tangs hold the light buckets on the r/s.
