Hey from A JAFA...
missed the Beach hop, thu my son went down.
Was at Kumeu with the Camaro, had a Bradford at Concourse, and also Bradford at the Motat vintage.

Dang 3 of you!! Time to get a TC chapter started over there. I think ya'all should meet at Steptoes house he claims to be the grillin king. From the pics I have seen his claim might be valid.

BTW: A long ways away from you but closer than I am now. I almost took a job in Alice Springs Australia in 2000. Just a little to out in the outback for us after looking it over.

1/ Back in the early 80s we started up a NZ Camaro club, it went very well, good grass roots hands on guys...then there was the big sharemarlet boom, and the membership grew with ppl "Dear lets buy a Camaro" keep up with the joness thing...Democraty prevailed and that was the direction the club took...
And as so many members where not genuine Camaro enthusists, iy eventually collapsed....The NZ American Muscle car Club Started up around the same time, and today is very strong and good bunch of guys, and still going strong today.

2/ya'all should meet at Steptoes house he claims to be the grillin king.
Dont have a problem with that, but grillin king..no the wife is the wizz at the bbq....mine is the old fashsioned robin hood style ove a fire sheep/pig in a spit, none of the LPG oven in the garden BS.

Yep.. see my Avatar to the left
They where once the most common car on NZ roads....2 cylinder boxer,
1000cc, 3 speed,
And very advanced...
no water pump or fan, themosyphon so never over heats...
no need for jumper leads, comes with a crank handle,
door winders never break...they slide up and down
Demister never breaks...rag in clove box
Air conditioning.... built in gaps in the doors, and around clutch, break pedals
All yr round heater....thru the floor
Sovled rust issues....wooden body frame
No hydrolic/cable problems....brakes etc are all rod activated
No issues with side lights etc...there are none.
No indicator flasher issues....popup side trafficators
No speeding ticket issues...cruise nice at 45mph, top speed about 53mph, and in 30mph zones, by the time one is up to speed u are at the next intersection.
No worries about loosing your car keys...no key ignition switch, turn on the switch and press the starter button
