I am a new member to the site and would like to say hi. I don't at this time own a camaro but have been a fan for quite some time. Does anyone have any advice about where to start in the quest for purchase of one

Re: Nother New Member

You have come to the right place. Read all you can about these cars. Here is another good place to visit http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml

Then decide what you want and go looking for it. There are some great cars out there for sale and some that don't live up to their hype. Be careful. Take a friend along when you go to look at a car and I recommend seeing it in person. Pictures don't always tell the whole story.

Thumbs up Re: Nother New Member

I haven't actually gone yet I don't turn seventeen until Oct. 13 I am going to meps on the 6th and 7th and enlisting on my birthday.
When I go to meps I am going car shopping on the same day actually. this way I can use my spare time and money to make the car bigger and badder.

Re: Nother New Member

I dont recommend buying a car till you get to your permanant duty station. Alot of Sailors have gotten taken for this very reason. Unless you are buying an old muscle car of some sort. Dont buy a newer-used vehicle, PLEASE DONT. Wait til you get to your permanant command and talk with your LPO.

Well I have to finish my junior and senior year in high school yet so I still have almost a year and a half yet. That is pretty much time to get working on something

Re: Nother New Member

I would have to agree with wiskeesour on that. Hell you might end up on sea duty right off the bat. Geez when I went to MEPS I don't remember having that much time to be "car shopping" that day! Of course that was 24 years ago (yikes!). So your parents wouldn't sign for you to join the Marines but it was ok to join the Navy?? And you might think of changing your name so people don't mistake you for a Marine! Not that that would be a bad thing! I was one (and still am) for 22 years.

Just noticed something... you say that you turn 17 on Oct 13th..but you are going to MEPS on the 6th and 7th to enlist "on your B-day??" Maybe things have changed in the years or my math is all screwed up!
