Re: 87 camaro,cooling fan

The fans are tied to temp sensor.

Firebird and Camaro at this year level are almost exact mechanically and with wiring except interior.

Where_is_the_cooling_fan_relay_on_a_87_Pontiac_Fir ebird_Formula_305_AT

Where is the cooling fan relay on a 87 Pontiac Firebird Formula 305 AT?
In: Pontiac Firebird

I don't have the Formula AT, just a 1987 Firebird with 305. The relay is located on firewall drivers side. There are 2 that look similiar. Go to this web site for a picture and part number. http://www.rockauto.com/ref/ACDelcoD...ml?15-8333.jpg

or this site to do further searches on the car. http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/mak,PO...+xxampxx+RELAY

why the relay? check the fan temp switch on the right lower engine block.
