Buying a 1st Gen Camaro

Hi Guys,

I have posted on here already, regarding an engine that belongs to my son thats from a 67 350SS.

On another subject, I am on the lookout for 1st Gen Camaro myself, prefer a 69 if I can find what I like.
However Im in Australia, so checking out cars forsale over in USA is a little hard, does anyone know any reputable companies that conduct presale inspections.

Im not after a show quality or matching numbers car, I have been down this path before and you get to scared to drive the dam things.
But I do want a good soild car with a tidy interior and good paint, I could not care less about the engine (this part is easy for me).

I like the oringinal to semi original look with a stripe package and period type wheels (once again wheels not a issue as they are easy to change).

Dream car would be 69 Z/28 clone with silver/back, or the rare silver/red, could live with other colours but this is my favorite.

Plan is to put together a tough 420 ish SBC as street/strip/cruiser, would love a 4 speed stick but will most likey go a 3 speed auto.

Anyhow if anyone could recommend a reputable company that deals in (or could inspect) good cars (not patched up wrecks made to look good) let me know.

Thanks

Re: Buying a 1st Gen Camaro

I offer an inspection service if you happen to find one around my area (Atlanta, GA). Also have a partner in the Tampa/Orlando, Fl area. I can arrange shipping through a partner in the Chicago, IL area. We just sent a couple of Corvettes to New Zealand end of last year. You can talk to our contact in New Zealand as a reference.
