Newbie

Hey guys
I signed up a long time ago, but was recently re-referred here by Skeeveman

17 years old and I have a 2005 Millenium Yellow Corvette Z51. Nothing done to it but exhaust (please hold the remarks. I know them by heart because I get them on ever forum I'm on. Without a doubt I'm the luckiest kid in the world. Trust me, I knew that long before I got on forums.) I have had an '02 Z06 and a '00 SS Camaro before that so I've been driving pretty fast cars every since I got my learner's permit.

My dad's been in to hot rods (95% Chevys ) all his life. Since I can remember he's had 5 or 6 Chevelles one being a '66 SS, his latest being a '68 SS, and the rest being '69 SSs. About six months ago sold his '68 Garnet Red SS Chevelle with a 454 & 5speed.
Every since I've been trying to talk him into a '68 or '69 Camaro just for something different.
My dream would be a straight '69 that handles very well (my old '00 SS, and the 'Vettes spoiled me on mountain runs) and is powered by a high revvin' SB.
So, per Skeeve, I'm here to do preliminary research. I've already learned quite a bit in the short time I've been reading up on older threads.

So, thanks in advance for the gobs of info! Should be around for a while

Thanks man

Actually, it's cheaper, by about $3 a month, than the SS was.
Something about no tickets, straight A's, and driver's ed keeps it down

Hey Jonathon-

Welcome to Team Camaro, it's great to see someone else from Greenwood. I didn't know your dad sold the '68 Chevelle or that you had upgraded your 'Vette. I saw you with the "old" one not too long ago.
Hope you find a '68 or '69 Camaro and let me know if I can help in any way.

Andrew

Welcome to the Club, Jonathan. It's good to read of a younger adult who earns the insurance credit. Congrats for the good grades and respect.

Thank you. The first gens are honestly my favorite car of all time. Especially the '69

Thanks for the welcome Andrew.
He said he wanted more of a driver and that the Chevelle was too nice to drive like he wanted. Now that he sold it, my mom said she was tired of the selling and buying and fixing and selling, so he's been put on "car restriction."
We'll see how long that lasts
