New Guy here from Texas

Hey guys, I've been on this sight several times in the last year or so, and never posted until now. I bought a 70 camaro project off these classifieds about 2 years ago, and then sold it to put in a pool for the kids. Big mistake. Now I have a 73 that I tried to buy, before it got wrecked, but the owner had a deposit on it before I could get to it. The next day, he wrecked it and It became available again, so I bought it wrecked. Now I am putting a whole new front clip on it with all aftermarket parts from Classic Ind, and NPD. Most are all OER parts, and I have to say that they line up together like crap! Anyone have any advice on the best way to line these parts up? Anyways great sight and I hope to learn a lot with some help from you guys. Thanks.

Pull, tug and pry with a partner and tighten bolts while one holds in place. It somtime takes a 2X4 with a big f&$#ing hammer if the parts bulge to much. Its all patience and taking your time and some time standing back and looking for a second before moving. Also keep in mind these weren't ball bearing cars from the factory another words they aint no Lexus.

Welcome Bob,
I'm soon to be in the same boat with you. I tore down my 67 yesterday and decided I'm going to need new fenders. After the sub-frame comes back from powdercoat and I put in a new engine, I'll be fighting fenders. I don't have the money to pay for OEM, or NOS, so I'm probably going to have to go with the import crap too. If you learn anything vital, keep me in mind.

H.

I still have my first car.

Welcome to Team Camaro and like Dave said - it sometimes takes a 2x4, a BFH, and some grunting to get the panels to line up
