Newbie, intro from London, UK

Hi to you all, i got my dream car finally last month, 67 RS Camaro, brought it over from the states, it needs quite alot of work but im looking forward to it.(im not a mechanic) Its in the paint shop right now and im doing what i can while its in there. I have a question to ask, not sure if im in the right place but here goes. I have manual drum brakes at the moment and i got the chance to purchase some second hand discs/hubs and calipers from a stock 69 Camaro along with the master cylinder can anyone tell me if they will fit onto my original spindles and do i have to get anything else to make them fit, thanks in advance

Welcome to the TC Motor Club, old man!

Good suggestions to date about the brakes, and it will make a most appreciated difference in stopping. You will turn a few noggins, I gather in Jolly Old.

Welcome, I am new to the site myself but I have to say that its pretty cool knowing there are some Camaros in the UK. Thats one of the least likely places Id imagine one, bet it stands out a lot

You'll enjoy the site, it has helped me quite a bit in the past 2 weeks.

Re: Newbie, intro from London, UK

Question for you Brits,
Do your Camaros turn many heads there ?
Or are they more common than I think. I have no idea if there are many American muscle cars there or not.

Re: Newbie, intro from London, UK

Hi Jerry
It turns heads alright with black paint + white rally stripes , 1st gens are rare here more latter models and you dont see many of them. I know a guy with a 68 running a 540 Shafiroff you can here it a mile away. American cars are about here mostly Corvettes and Mustangs , but you dont see them every day . O and i know a guy with an all steel BBC 40s Willys and i dont know how much it cost but i think you could buy a house with that kind of cash . Pete.

life, dont talk to me about life.

Re: Newbie, intro from London, UK

Thanks Peter I've always wondered about that.
Now I know
p.s. the cars you just described would turn heads in any country that's for sure.
