Jim, welcome, I'd like to see some pics of your Camaros...I'm in River Falls WI. Do you ever drive up to the twin cities during summer for the cruising scene?

Re: Old Guy new to Here

Thanks for the welcome. I don't have any pictures to post right now. The oldest of my cars now belongs to my oldest son. It started as a plain 6 cylinder coupe and now has a warmed up 350 with a muncie four speed. That car my wife and I bought in 1973 and have had it powered by a 250 inline, 302 12.5 comp., and then back to the six and now the 350. I gave it to my son when he was 16, it's the first car he rode in as we brought him home from the hospital as a baby. The other car is my project 67 RS/SS 350.

Re: Old Guy new to Here

I can't believe that we are both "old Guy". I'm 60 something and owned a new 68 SS 396 350HP 4 speed Camaro in 1968. With all the special stuff i.e. close ratio trans, no console etc set up for drag racing the cost was $3200 out the door.
I now have a 67 SS RS in the midst of restoration, to become a daily driver.
Myn problem now is how to make the left side dash lights work???
Thats about it for now..oh except that I'm in northern Arizona.

Re: Old Guy new to Here

My project is a 67 RS/SS 350. I made the mistake of trying to restore a highly optioned car, and trying to do it to nicely. My car came with a/c, power windows, remote mirror, fold down rear seat, console /clock, speedminder, 12 bolt 3.31 posi, deluxe interior and on and on. I have almost everything except for the ambition to finish it. That is kind of why I am in this forum to become inspired.

Welcome Jim!! You can do it! Sounds like it'll be a great car when you finish it.
