New Non-Camaro Owner

I bought a 2009 Challenger and I just don't get excited about it. I want a 1st generation comaro and I need help.

Looking for the wisdom of the people on the site to lead my direction.

Re: New Non-Camaro Owner

I've got exhaust on the 6.2 hemi, something just doesn't impress me about variable timing and a quiet idle.

I want something with a bit more cam that likes to hunt when idle.

Hopefully I can get a gopod starter for $10,000.00 cause I'm hurting after the $45,000.00 on the Chally.

Plus I can't get the chally in some of the shows around town it's too "NEW".

Re: New Non-Camaro Owner

Welcome to Team Camaro. I could not help comment on your intro. I too had a choice of buying a new car or a 1st gen before i joined this site and even though i've been pouring money to my 1st gen and going thru the motions of all the issues to fix on it, i am glad i chose the 1st gen Camaro over the new school. I totally understand you, there's nothing like the 1st gens. This site has classifieds too, you might just find your 1st gen here. Good luck and hope you get your 1st gen soon. Still the 2009 Challenger was a great choice of car.

Re: New Non-Camaro Owner

Welcome, Jason. Search and research for a 1st Gen of your liking.
Figure out what items/style you would like an look from there.
Make a list of 1st & 2nd choices of how you would want it outfitted.
Originals and survivors are going to draw more money, because of the supply, than modded ones.

Challenger is still a good choice, just had hoped Chrysler wouldn't have made it so heavy.

Give a man a rescued dog for the health of both their souls. May 2017 ROTM Winner - Thank you!

Re: New Non-Camaro Owner

Oh she's heavy alright.... I've got to have the classic though, since I was a kid there was two cars that I wanted.
1) a 1st generation camaro
2) 60's model noval (chevy II) not a hatchback.

when I went to get the "classic" camaro I stopped by the chevy dealer and they wouldn;t remove the sheet from the 2010 camaro for me to look at it. So I left on the way I saw a dodge dealer and stopped to look at an SRT-8. I never left the dodge dealer without the Chally so that put me out of pocket on the classic.

May 1st last year I bought my Challen ger, and May 1st this year I started my quest again for my Camaro. I guess you could say I got the best of both New and Old School.

Still I'm having a hard time finding the car I want.
