E85 Conversions

What's up guys! I am new to the forum so if any answers to my question are already out there just let me know. I tried to search on this topic but I couldn't find much of anything. So I have two Camaros a 68 and a 69. I was thinking about converting my 68 to E85 because I bought it with a built 454 in it, but it has dome pistons in it and I think I can hear a little pre-detonation in it with just premium gas. I think I know pretty much what all needs to be done as far as a carb, larger fuel lines, and a fuel filter. Do you guys have any suggestions as far as where to buy or what I should do instead of E85. Got any pros and cons? I also plan on selling this car so I don't know if e85 would help the resale or not. Thanks

Thanks Doug! I was thinking about just adapting my carb for E85 but I might have to check in to buying one from Eric.

Re: E85 Conversions

Welcome to Team Camaro...I hear of the performance benefits of E85 and thought about it myself as I used E85 in my Avalanche. Since I moved from Minnesota to Texas I cannot find E85 anywhere.
