Hi From San Antonio

Just wanted to say hi...Decided to become a member after about two years of reading post as an outsider...I've been building this 68 for almost three years now and there is light at the end of the tunnel so to speak...

I've got a 396 (.060 over) with edelbrock heads (110 cc), Edelbrock Air cap intake, Summit cam 228,238 @ .50, 540 & 540 lift. Comp roller tip rockers (1.72), M-20 Hurst shifter, 12 bolt 373 posi, Holley 3310 Vac sec, Pertronix Distributor ignitor II module/mech advance with Ignitor II coil.

Everything that I just mentioned was installed by myself...I found the 396 in Pennsylvania and I got the Muncie out of Illinois, I basically pieced this car together...

But I have to admit it's been fun through this process, watching everything come together...I just got the car registered three months ago so I have taken it around the block a few times...

I retired from the Air Force after 23 years as a vehicle mechanic and I still work for the Air Force only this time as civilan...I guess you can say I'm "living the dream".LOLOLOL...

I personally have to thank this site for all the great knowledge/advice that I have been able to utilized on my project...

Thanks
Mike

The rain clouds have been screwing with us: "Here comes some rain! Oops, maybe not... Here comes some rain, get ready!... Nah, I don't think so."

I'll send you some if we get any up here.

Re: Hi From San Antonio

Thanks Ryan,
I bought the car with the current paint color...The paint job looks a lot better in the photos...There are numerous flaws and most people would likely not notice them, but I know they are there and that bugs me so I am in the process of finding a paint shop that I can trust to paint the car back to the original color which was Island Teal...

By the way once I'm completely finished with this car my next project will be a 69...Your ride is sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
