Hello from Mizzery!

Hello, I'm a farmer from North Missouri. I own a Lemans blue/black vinyl top 69' SS 350 Camaro with both black SS and Deck stripes that I bought when I was 16, back in 1986. I got married 15 years ago, and dropped the liscense back in 1995. I'm dragging it back out of the shed so I can take the wife and kids for nice summer rides, and enjoy the old girl once again.

I look forward to reading this forum and contributing. I have asked one engine question in the engine forum, but not sure where I need to post this question.

I'd like to find the past owners of my car, as I enjoy finding the history on my vehicles and tractors when I buy them. Gives them a personality and it's like treasure hunting in a way. I tried to run the VIN on carfax several years ago, but I believe a 69's VIN is too short. Anyway, I appriciate any and all help, thanks Kristin

Re: Hello from Mizzery!

Welcome....assuming - a Chiefs Fan . Check out the thread below regarding tracing history on your car. Your luck will depend on what state the car came from as some states keep DMV records longer then others. I got lucky and was able to trace my car through all 10 owners! Good luck...

Re: Hello from Mizzery!

Zlek, thanks for that link. For you guys looking for your cars past, here's a link to what happend to me after doing the research on a family tractors past, after it was sold, and I went on a search to find it. I ended up on the front page of the Wall Street Journal, and Case IH, flew me, my wife and hauled the tractor to Disney World in FL. to do a presentation with the vice president of the company. It is a International Harvester 1206 Turbo. One of the most beautiful tractors ever built. termed a "Muscle Tractor" I am hoping to find these past owners of the Camaro, as it's a passion of mine. Here's a link to my story, thanks Kristin

A 1206. Those old tractors where hunks of iron, huh? I sold my Deere 4520 last spring, and it was a solid chunk of cast iron, too. Sorry, but everything powered on my place is green, although I've got alot of hours running a Steiger/Versitiles/Magnums on my cousins place. We're in SE Indiana.

Re: Hello from Mizzery!

Welcome. What part of Northern Missouri are you in? If close to KC you might want to visit our club website (www.camaroclubkc.com) and also make plans to attend our annual Camaro show in August.
