Newbie with a 68

Hi, I just wanted to join a site with other car guys with similar intrestes (Camaros). I have a 68 I am about to restore.

Very cool. I'm doing the same thing and almost done with the American Autowire harness. Let us know what you intend to do.

68 SS Camaro - 468 BB, Tremec 5 Speed, Wilwood Brakes, Curry 9 inch (370 gear)

Thanks, I will one day hot rod one but I do want to restore this one back to original (SS 396 325 hp 4 speed)

For sure, if my 68 had the matching numbers and the proper docs to go with it when I purchased it I would have definitely gone that route, but mine started out a shell with no engine or tranny with no documentation that I purchased for 600 dollars, so the decision was easy for me, build it with more perfomance and modern components.
